«  Hello everyone, the aim of the Invictus Games is to mend broken lives and provide the motivation to move forward.

It is the fulfilment through physical activities that is sought through the InvictusGames. They also serve as a way for athletes to challenge themselves, meet new people, learn new skills, give back to society and gain experience. Furthermore, the Invictus Games demonstrate the tireless motivation of soldiers and veterans to overcome adversity while using the power of sports.

They also show how much can be achieved, no matter how much one has suffered or been injured. The Invictus Games are therefore about perseverance, determination, inclusion, team spirit, sportsmanship, commitment and sharing.  Furthermore, in general, sport can teach collective values such as respect, solidarity and team spirit. Respect is an essential value in everyday life and even more so in team sports.

Fair play, respect for the referee, for one's players and for one's opponents is more than necessary to maintain sport in general. Furthermore, solidarity is achieved through mutual support in difficult moments, but it is even more present in success and permanent encouragement. On the other hand, sport teaches individual values such as surpassing oneself, perseverance and continually challenging oneself. Indeed, surpassing oneself is a value that can improve our daily life but also our self-confidence.

It is about pushing your limits outside your comfort zone and adjusting your goals as you go along. Finally, sport has many other values such as fairness, inclusion, sharing, commitment and sportsmanship.  Furthermore, to illustrate the values of sport more precisely, let's take an example : carp fishing in competition.

It is a sport ! Don’t be surprised. First of all, just taking the example of fishing, being in direct contact with nature allows you to recharge your batteries, feel better, reflect and free your mind.

It is therefore first and foremost a question of well-being that is sought in fishing and in any other sport. Moreover, fishing is about sharing.

We meet a lot of fishermen at the water's edge and between fishermen we share certain fishing spots and certain fishing strategies so that everyone can catch fish, it is also a question of solidarity.

So the fishermen form a big family. On the other hand, you have to come to fishing to understand.

Everybody says : "fishing, you come to the water's edge and you settle down with your fishing rod on your seat".
