TEXT: tourism in Canada.
Student c: The text says that tourism brings in 102 billion dollars every year, creats 1.8 million
jobs, and makes up more than 2% of the GDP.
Tourism is also canada’s biggest service export, with
a value of more than 22 billion dollars in 2018 or almost 20% of service export income.
Sharing:
1) tourism essenciel: tourism accounts for a noticeable part of canada’s economy.
Indeed, its
represent over 2% of the country’s GDP, and it generate more than 100$ billion each year.
Moreover, almost 2 million jobs depend directly on tourism and related activities.
Canada tries to attract tourits: through various political and economic decisions, Canada has
renforced its worldwide communication thanks to the efforts of the minister of tourism.
Furthermore, since there are more tourist coming, the country has to create more jobs to answer the
needs of the growing number of visitors.
Activity: Yes, of course, I want to visit Canada.
For me, it is the country of calm and nature.
In my
opinion, it’s the perfect place where we can reconnect with ourselves.
For me, it's one of my goals
to visit it.
When reading this text, I realized that it doesn't really make me want to go.
In fact, it
gives me the impression that Canada is a very touristy country and that everything is superficial.
It
also gives me the feeling that Canada depends only on tourism to keep its economy running, and
this is because there are too many numbers in the text.
